Here are few essentials that you must bring with you:

All Certificates , Marks Sheets & Other Documents in Original along with Two Sets of Photocopies and Scanned Copy (in PDF format) of originals:
  • All certificates (Pass/Degree Certificates, Marks Sheets/ Grade Cards, etc) for 10th Class, 12th Class, Bachelors Degree
  • Birth Certificate (for Date of Birth)
  • In case of OBC(NCL) category students, OBC-Non Creamy Layer Certificate in prescribed format issued on or after 01.04.2015
  • In case of SC/ST category students, Caste Certificate in prescribed format
  • In case of PwD category students, Physical Disability Certificate in prescribed format
  • Medical Certificate/ Report on your Physical Fitness in prescribed format
  • Original proof of payment of Fee , if applicable
  • If you have NOT paid the Fee (in case of Second round of admission around July 13th), the Full Fee Amount to pay through Debit/ Credit Card in POS on the day of registration at IIT Guwahati
  • Your Color Passport Size and Stamp Size Photographs with white background (at least 16 numbers each)
  • If you have Aadhaar Card, then e-Aadhaar Copy (PDF file) or a Photo Copy of Your Aadhaar Card

  • Reaching Guwahati:

    Reach IIT Guwahati latest by evening of July 20, 2017 (Thursday) - Previous day to the Registration Day.

    Proceed directly to the allotted hostel and contact the hostel care-taker at the hostel office for accommodation. If you are arriving at late hours, then contact security persons at the hostels or students volunteers available at the hostel offices for accommodation. In case of any difficulties, you can contact the Warden/ Associate Warden of your hostel.

    Orientation Coordinated by Students' Academic Board (SAB) on Academic Resources, Computational & Research Facilities for all students is scheduled as per following details:

    Director's Address to all New Students of PG & PhD Programmes:

    Director will address to all New Students of PG & PhD Programmes on "Importance of Research" as per following schedule. Attendance of all New Students of Masters and PhD Programmes is must.
    There may be other interaction programmes for new students which will be announced by students affairs section.
    Please see notices displayed in the hostel notice boards and in the registration/orientation venues and follow the instructions given therein.
