Centre for Career Development of the Institute centrally handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students of all Departments. CCD is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support each and every stage of the placement processes. CCD staff members assist in arranging Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Group Discussions, and Interviews etc. are made as per the requirements of the Organizations.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati was established in 1994 by an Act of Parliament. The academic programme started with 65 students in three undergraduate programmes in 1995. The Institute is growing steadily and the total number of students in eleven departments and three academic centres in numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is now around 5100.
The Institute has excellent infrastructure for all round development of its students. The laboratories are well equipped with modern cutting edge instruments for research and development. Read more...

I take this opportune moment of pride and happiness when IIT Guwahati has entered the elite list of top 100 young universities of the world under 50 years to welcome you.
In a short duration of about 20 years IIT Guwahati has turned into a considerably large institute having all the facilities and resources to guide its tremendously brilliant students. We are well recognised for our research and teaching facilities. The seventeenth convocation held in June 2015 saw the seventeenth batch of undergraduate and the sixteenth batch of postgraduate students totalling to around 1250 receiving their degrees.
