Research Laboratories:

A state-of-art laboratory composed of cutting edge fabrication, characterization, and testing facilities is now available for research. Among the fabrication devices we have mask aligner, mask writer, electron beam lithography, thermal and electron beam evaporation, RF magnetron sputtering, reactive ion etching, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, electrospinning, 3D printing, materials printing system, oxidation/diffusion furnaces, and laser micro machining. Among the characterization tools we have AFM, FESEM, EDX, TEM, super resolution confocal, polarization, and fluorescence microscopic systems, and UV-Vis & fluorescence spectroscopic systems. Among the testing facilities we have, clean room, probe stations (DC and RF), IV-CV analyzer, controlled environment chamber, and electronic test benches. The lab also houses High Speed computational servers loaded with software, which includes Ansys Fluent, Coventorware, COMSOL, Mathematica, Matlab, and Material Studio. The facility was build up over last five years from the scratch with the help of the IIT Guwahati authority and the grants obtained from the funding agencies such as DST, CSIR, and DeitY.
