Applicants are provisionally shortlisted for written test, interview and statement of purpose presentation for Admission into the PhD programme of CLST as per advertised criteria and field of interests of the applicants.

Call letters have been sent to the shortlisted candidates.

Date of written test and interview : 7 June to 8 June, 2017
Reporting Time: 09:00HRS 7 June, 2017
Venue: Office of the Center for Linguistic Science and Technology
Criteria for short-listing candidates: Minimum Eligibility Criteria as advertise in the admission notification.


Accommodation for Boys is arranged in Lohit Hostel.
Accommodation for Girls is arranged in Subansiri Hostel.

You may also kindly note the following:
(a) ACCOMMODATION WILL BE GIVEN ON MULTI-SHARING BASIS.
(b) For bedding, pillow etc., the participants may need to arrange themselves by contacting a suitable vendor. For bedding etc. you can contact to Mr. Rajib-9577313746 / 9085481673; Hemanta: 9085566925; Dul: 9954862926 on payment basis.
(c) For arranging food, the participants may speak to the hostel mess caterers. Food bills will be raised by the caterers for direct settlement.
(d) Only the participant will be provided accommodation. Accompanying persons, if any, cannot be accommodated.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Master’s degree in Engg./Tech. in CSE/ ECE/ EEE or equivalent/ Master of Design with minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
  2. Master of Science in CSE/ IT/ ECE/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Speech and Language Pathology/ Audiology or equivalent with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
  3. Master of Arts in Linguistics/ any language with specialization in Linguistics/ Language Studies or equivalent with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
  4. Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engg./ Tech. in CSE/ ECE/ EEE or equivalent/ Four year Bachelor’s degree in Design with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% marks.
  5. Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engg./ Tech. in CSE/ ECE/ EEE or equivalent/ Four year Bachelor’s degree in Design with a minimum CPI of 7.0, from any of the Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.
  6. Four-year Undergraduate Diploma in Design (NID/ CEPT or equivalent), with postgraduate qualification in relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks.
  7. A two-year Post-graduate Diploma in Design (NID/ CEPT or equivalent) with first class at Bachelor’s level.
