M.Tech. in Computer Science
This is a four semester programme with two semesters devoted to thesis research. Applicants should have a B.Tech. or equivalent degree and must possess a valid GATE score. Candidates having professional qualifications recognized by AICTE, like AMIE, are also eligible to apply. In addition, candidates sponsored by an industry/R&D organization are also considered. Sponsored candidates must have at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination and at least two years of work experience. A GATE score is not mandatory for sponsored candidates.
The Department of Information Technology (DIT) – Govt. of India, supports M.Tech. courses with specialization in Information Security. At least 10 seats in the M.Tech. programme are set aside for the above mentioned course. The registered candidates are required to register for at least three security related elective courses offered by the department.
