Shorlisted candidates can download the generic call letter here, in case they have not recieved the call letter in their email.

Travel Allowance (TA) to only Ph.D. (Regular) and Dual candidates appearing for the Written Test/Interview will be reimbursed. The claimant should download the TA form (available here) and NEFT/RTGS form (available here), fill them in complete and submit to the CSE office at the time of reporting.

The TA form should be enclosed with:
1. Original ticket of the inward journey.
2. Photo-copy of the ticket of the outward journey.

Accommodation will be allotted on double sharing basis at Subansiri Hostel (for Female applicants) and Dibang Hostel (for Male applicants).

Kindly note the following points, regarding accommodation:
(a) Bedding, pillow etc. will not be provided.
(b) Accommodation will be provided only to the candidates.
(c) For arranging food for the candidates, you may kindly contact to the caterer of hostel. Food will be available through payment only.

You do not have to approach anybody for booking your accommodation now. Upon arrival to IIT Guwahati, you can directly go to the respective hostels and show your call-letter at hostel-reception. They will provide you the accommodation.

Criteria for short-listing candidates for Dual (M.Tech. + Ph.D.) programme:
  1. General: BE/B.Tech. other than CSE, IT or equivalent and GATE score ≥ 600
  2. OBC : BE/B.Tech. other than CSE, IT or equivalent and GATE score ≥ 540
  3. SC : BE/B.Tech. other than CSE, IT or equivalent and GATE score ≥ 300
  4. ST : BE/B.Tech. other than CSE, IT or equivalent and GATE score ≥ 300
  5. PD : BE/B.Tech. other than CSE, IT or equivalent and GATE score ≥ 300
