Criteria for applying to our research group:

1.. All students must submit a statement of purpose. Write passionately about a few subjects which have inspired you during the past two or three years in not more than 1 page (12 pt, Times New Roman font) . It is absolutely essential that you construct this paragraph in your own words, being true to yourself. For example if you like Signal Processing, discuss what aspects of the subject made it interesting, whether it is the mathematical framework or the diverse application space. On the other hand if you enjoyed subjects like electronic circuit design and modeling, the interest could have been sparked by the confluence of areas such as device physics, chemistry, circuit modeling and signal processing.

Alternatively, if you have concrete research interests (including a potential problem which can be pursued at the Thesis level), prepare a strong research statement.

2.. Commitment towards solving any problem is an absolute must. In your bio-data it is important for you to highlight all projects (short-term or long-term) some of which could have been self-inspired whether technical or non-technical.

3.. If you have other skills and talents such as sketching, technical writing or any other creative hobby, feel free to include that in your bio-data.
