Experimental Facilities in the Low Temperature Laboratory :



  1. Four probe electrical resistivity set up for measurements down to 15 K.
  2. Magneto-resistivity set up for measurements down to 15 K and field variation upto 1.5T.
  3. Indigenously developed AC Susceptibility set up (down to 15 K).
  4. Indigenously developed Low field (a few Oe) M-H loop set up (down to 77K).
  5. Dielectric constant and Impedance Measurement System
  6. Material preparation facilities using solid state route.

Major Equipment in Low Temperature Laboratory :


·         Closed Cycle Helium Refrigerator cryostats

·         10 Electro-Magnet (1.5 T for 2.5 air gap with 3 tapered pole dia.)

·         Hot Press  Furnace (cap. 20 ton load, max. operating temperature 1000oC)

·         RF Sputtering System for Thin Film Deposition
