Welcome to Santanu's Homepage

Currently I am pursuing my Ph.D degree in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. I joined here as a Research Scholar in the academic year 2013-2014. I am working in the field of optics under the supervision of Dr. Bosanta Ranjan Boruah.

My home town is Silapathar, a small town of Dhemaji district. Dhemaji is the easternmost district of Assam situated at the northern bank of the mighty Brahmaputra river. Guwahati is my present home city and Assamese is my mother tongue. The languages I am comfortable with are Assamese (mother tongue), Hindi (national language) and English.

Indian Institute of Technology is the sixth member of the IITs in India. It is situated on the northern Bank of Brahmaputra on the outskirts of Guwahati city. It has a very beautiful campus and a quite sexy infrastructure. The campus of IIT Guwahati is considered to be one of the most beautiful campus of India.
