Professor Ken Ono

Research Areas: Broadly, Professor Ken Ono works on Algebra, Combinatorics and Number Theory. Especially, his research interests lie in integer partitions, modular forms, Umbral moonshine, the Riemann Hypothesis and the fields of interest to Srinivasa Ramanujan.


About: Professor Ken Ono joined the Department of Mathematics, IIT Guwahati as an Honorary Professor on October 22, 2020 for a period of two years. Currently, he is the Thomas Jefferson Professor of Mathematics at the University of Virginia, the Vice President of the American Mathematical Society, and the Chair of the Mathematics Section of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
