There are two PhD positions available in our group during the year 2024-25. The PhD works are related to (i) optical trapping (area the Nobel prize in Physics in the year 2018) and (ii) optical super resolution microscopy (area that won the Nobel prize in Chemistry in the year 2014). The work will involve theoretical understanding as well as experimental implementations. Pre-requisites: ability to learn, think and apply the concepts of Physics (not mandatory to have any special knowledge in the relevant area).
